Adding a Values Page

I added a values page to this site for a couple of reasons. One so I could be thoughtful and consider what my values actually are. The second reason is so I could share them to help explain why I make some of the choices I do - not only on this page but in life.

Keeping It Real

Values pages can sound preachy if you're not careful. I tried to be honest about where I fall short and practical about what these principles mean in practice.

The goal isn't to seem perfect - it's to be clear about what I'm trying to optimize for.

Why You Might Want One

It's a good exercise in self-reflection. Writing down what matters to you forces you to think clearly about it.

It also helps others understand your point of view, if they want to work with you or keep reading your stuff.
